The love that Sarah and Martin have for each other is so evident through their beautiful love story and the pure joy you can see on their faces on their big day! From their first meeting they were inseparable!

Sarah wore the Molly gown, a lace sheath wedding gown to complete your dreamy-chic-summery bridal aesthetic By Maggie Sottero.

It not only complimented my figure, the colouring was beautiful and worked well with my colouring, it had lace, sparkle, and the train was not too long for me and importantly it was comfortable I could eat, dance and move without any problems! I did NOT want to get out of it!” – Sarah

THE FIRST SIGHT 

We had a mutual friend who invited to me to one of Martin’s, “Marty Party’s” and that was an eventful night filled with endless fun and happiness! I was not drinking as I was driving for some friends as well and let’s just say obviously the host was a little inebriated! However despite that, for me it was love at first handshake! Let’s not leave out that I also met his Mum too at 6am when the party was still going! She says she just remembers meeting a lovely girl with a big smile! So we hop, skip & jump to the next day where I go back to his house and end up staying and having a beautiful dinner with him and his very welcoming parents. His feelings were very much the same and let’s just say we were inseparable since then.

THE PROPOSAL

Returning from a well spent holiday on the 9th of October in 2018 something very special and unexpected happened… Martin and his sneaky, secretive and unexpected ways had me completely fooled!

 We had arrived home after a long journey, I changed straight into my pyjamas “my comfy’s” and we started to organise our souvenirs. We had laid our goodies out on the spare room bed and for some reason it felt like we were missing some. So silly me, being completely oblivious, listened to Martin and his suggestion which was that I check one of the bags in our living room area to see if any were hiding in there. I say “silly” because while my head was buried in the bag I did not have any luck finding any more souvenirs because we had everything out already! I was yelling out to Martin in doubt saying “Are you sure its in the blue bag?”, and “are you sure there are more in here?” as he was still in the other room.
I persisted and I found this blue bag and opened it. In it was a small, shiny, beautiful brown box…this box had a wedding band in it…I didn’t know what to think, It was a moment of “Was I meant to see this?!”
Before you know it, his voice is not so distant and sounds like its coming from right behind me ..
I turn around and he is down on one knee asking me to marry him! Obviously I said yes! 
 Then we did our laundry!! Very simple, very us and still a total surprise!

THE VENUE

We were always in love with the venue. It has been part of our lives as it was originally a venue we grew up going to as children. It was a venue where you could BYO food and drinks and was a great place for all ages and for families. The new owners transformed into something so truly magical, enhancing the venue’s charm that we just couldn’t resist! Three words to describe our wedding, rustic, romantic & unique!

FAVOURITE MOMENT

What a question! What made it particularly special was seeing all our hard work and planning come together, it was so magical and unforgettable! My husband is my favourite (and of course the day itself!)

THE DRESS

FINDING THE ONE

Any girl would dream of the experience I had with Francesca! I was with my beautiful Mum, Althea and it was a very special experience for us both.Francesca’s experience shone, she just knew what was for me as soon as I walked through the door, she was very helpful, friendly, passionate and her personality sparkled! Thank you for being part of my incredible wedding journey Francesca!

TIPS FOR ALL THE BRIDES TO BE

From my own experiences I have a few pieces to share. When it comes to wedding planning it is easy to get caught up in it all, so it is important that you don’t do everything at once. So that you can enjoy every moment of planning, space it out so that way you have things to look forward to doing and are not stressed! Invest spend and really put the effort into the things that really mean something to you that you want for your day. It’s easy to spend a lot of money, not everything is always costly but if you work out what you really want that will make a difference and whatever is left over you can put to other things. *Creating a “mood board” and doing a bit of research helps too! *Importantly, have time for yourself and soak it all in! The day will fly by and it’s the best day of your life!
