RC – How did you meet Luke?
Luke and I have been family friends for many years and became best friends over 9 years ago. Our new marriage is based on many years of being such great friends. We truly are best friends and I can’t imagine spending my life with anyone else.
RC – How did Luke propose?
Luke very romantically took us up to our family beach house in Burleigh Heads in QLD for a weekend getaway, where he had scrablle letters out with the words WILL YOU MARRY ME? Burleigh Heads hold a special place in my heart and it will now hold even more of a special place knowing that’s where we got engaged. We had a wonderful weekend celebrating and it was so nice to celebrate just the two of us before heading home and extending the celebratiions with our families. We then spent a week up there after the wedding for our mini honeymoon to relax and getaway and again it was such a lovely time in a place that now holds such great memories for us.
RC – Is there a particular reason as to why you chose your venue?
Is there a particular reason as to why you chose your venue? As soon as I entered Luminare I had no doubt it was where I wanted to be married. The most incredible city landscape views, the friendliest, kindest and most helpful staff and I could not speak highly enough of everyone and everything on our wedding night. The staff went above and beyond to make our night so special and all of our guests commented on how amazing the venue was. Jocelyn and Erinea my event managers were incredible and I can’t thank them enough!
RC – Your favourite part of the wedding?
Seeing Luke’s reaction as I was walking down the aisle with my dad and then the celebrations with all my family and friends.
RC – How did the dress make you feel?
No words can actually describe. The most special and amazing moment. A moment I will never forget. I still have guests and people commenting about the dress and it really was just perfect for me!
RC – How was your bridal shopping experience?

RC – Tips for brides-to-be!
Remain calm at all times. Don’t let others stress you out. I felt so happy and so calm all throughout the wedding process and most importantly on the day. It was extra special as I took the time to really enjoy it and my new husband. One thing that really helped me was lists. I am a checklist person and I had a list for everything, for months before, for weeks before, for the day of, for the night of, I even had a lists for other people to follow such as what my family had to take home from the venue. This allowed everything and everyone to run smoothy. There was no one hiccup or issue. There was communication between everyone which is vital! You need to be organised and well prepared and your special day will be smooth and stress free which is what you want!
