My wedding dress shopping experience was amazing, RC was the second store I went to and didn’t need to look any further! Sadly, I can’t recall the name of the lady who helped me but she was fantastic. I felt so comfortable with her and she knew exactly which dresses I would like and which ones would look good on me. As soon as I put on my dress I knew it was the one. I remember I didn’t want to wear a veil on the day and she suggested I just try one on (great delight to my mum!) and as soon as I did I was blown away. I’m so glad that I listened to her advice as it completed the whole look and I instantly felt like a beautiful bride. The whole experience was so stress free and a lot of fun!

A mutual friend introduced us at her birthday party, she thought we would like each other and she was right! I asked Tom out on a date and we were together for around three and a half years before we got married.

RC- How did Tom Propose?
We had bought our first home together and Tom thought it would be good to invite our parents over for a dinner party. I had no idea he was already planning on proposing to me after dinner with families there to witness the event. It was our first dinner party and I was on cooking duties, I somehow managed to put the oven on the wrong setting and couldn’t work out why it was taking so long! We didn’t end up eating until 10pm! I was convinced the night was a complete disaster when Tom got down on one knee in front of our families and popped the question. Although he was too teary to actually speak, it was a very sweet and special moment for all of us.

RC – Is there a particular reason as to why you chose your venue?
We both really wanted to be close to the beach and as soon as we walked into Circa we both just fell in love with it. The venue was exactly what we were dreaming of. The deck outside overlooking Fitzroy Street and the Bay was the perfect spot to hold the ceremony. The venue is elegant, modern and classy and the indoor pool was also something we thought was pretty special!

RC – Your favourite part of the wedding?
The moment just before I walked down the aisle with my dad. It is such a small part of such an incredible day to be my favourite but hearing my favourite song playing, seeing my bridal party making their way down the aisle, all of our smiling friends and family there showing their support and my future husband waiting patiently the end of the aisle looking for me, it was just indescribable and over whelming feeling. Pure joy.

RC – How did the dress make you feel?
Feminine, A feeling that every bride should experience on their wedding day! The beautiful lace, hints of sparkle, the long train and long veil were just so beautiful. Being a mermaid style dress it hugged my curves in all the right places and made me feel and look like a beautiful, elegant woman.

RC – Tips for brides-to-be!
Don’t get caught up in things that you think you need. You don’t need to spend hundreds or thousands on things that don’t matter. Invest in a good venue, DJ, food and drinks. That’s all you and your guests need in order to have a great time. At the end of the day it is about you and your husband sharing those special vows with your friends and family. No one pays attention to the colour of your nail polish or if your tan is even! These small details stressed me out and none of it even mattered!!
