“I was looked after by Allison , she was gorgeous! very direct and honest with fantastic energy she buzzed about pulling gowns for me that she knew would suit my style and figure and allowed me to eliminate very quickly and with certainty. Her advice was constructive and I could tell came from a place of experience!”

RC – How did you meet Luke?
As all most modern couples meet these days, Luke and I met online! #tindersucessstory

RC – How did Luke propose?
Whilst on Vaccay in the US in 2015, Luke chose my all time favorite place in the world, New York City to pop the question! A romantic dinner at Buddakan restaurant in the Meatpacking district followed by a hotel suite filled with flowers, candles and French Champagne, the boy nailed it! I later learnt that the proposal almost didn’t take place when Luke’s luggage unbeknownst to me that contained the ring went missing upon our arrival at JFK airport, his uncharacteristic manner as he frantically paced around the baggage carousel probably should have tipped me off, thankfully the suitcase was returned to our hotel several hours later much to Luke’s relief.

RC – Is there a particular reason as to why you chose your venue?
When we decided to have a destination wedding in Bali, we did so in the hope that the celebrations and fun with all our family and friends would last longer than a day, happy to report we smashed the brief! We chose Villa the Sanctuary in Canggu Bali for its spectacular grounds and facilities as well as its ability to accommodate our closest family members to stay on location with us in the days pre and post wedding. We had the time of our lives, poolside cocktails and family dinners and trips to Finns Beach Club…doesn’t get much better!

RC – Your favourite part of the wedding?
Too many fabulous moments just to pick just one but I loved getting ready, all the anticipation and excitement was ahead of me, a villa full of my best girls, plus mum and step mum and a few of my fave cousins, we had champagne, and laughter and listened to Beyonces Lemonade Album it was pure bliss! Our speeches were also amazing and very heartfelt, tears and laughter a perfect combo. But most of all our dance floor was electric! so much fun!

RC – How did the dress make you feel?
My gown made me feel beyond amazing, I walked down the aisle to Blackbird by the Beetles and my gown had a gorgeous black sash belt which to me was very personal and special as my mum has always called me her little Blackbird so I felt it tied in perfectly .. the gown was me in every way and I truly felt like a bride when I wore it!

RC – How was your bridal shopping experience?
During the wedding dress hunt I started to become a little disheartened as the style I thought I wanted, being a fitted fish tail just wasn’t cutting it for me. I’m not a person that wears Jewelry or Lacey girly things so when trying on pretty gowns I just didn’t feel like they were right for me. I found the fantastic range of gowns at Raffaele Ciuca Armadale allowed me to explore lots of options which opened me up to a more fuller style gown that I had not considered. As soon as I saw it out of the corner of my eye during my consultation I knew I had to try it! I was looked after by Allison , she was gorgeous! very direct and honest with fantastic energy she buzzed about pulling gowns for me that she knew would suit my style and figure and allowed me to eliminate very quickly and with certainty. Her advice was constructive and I could tell came from a place of experience!

RC – Tips for brides-to-be!
If at all possible, destination wedding all the way! Most couples report that the day flies by, but with a destination wedding you can bask in the celebration and the excitement for days on end! but above all my greatest advice which was given to me by a few of my married friends… throughout the day from the minute you wake drink in certain moments, recite in your head things like…I’m eating breakfast on my wedding day, I’m getting my hair done on my wedding day, take time to look at your flowers on the tables, and actively take note of all the detail and special moments, try all the food, sample the cocktails and be as present as possible …I found it greatly helped to form markers in my mind and memory which helps the day not just feel like a blur xx
