THE FIRST SIGHT
We met when we were 15 years old (childhood sweethearts). However not long after we met Chris had to move countries for a sports opportunity. We then parted ways and stayed friends for many years (we were always each other’s first love). Fate then intervened when we were 20 years old and we got back together. At 25 years old we got married, so we will be celebrating our 1 year of marriage in 2018 as well as 10 years since we met.
THE PROPOSAL
A stunning picnic in the botanical gardens with 24 roses, champagne and him on one knee asking me to be his wife.
THE VENUE
I love vintage and especially the 1920s era. I wanted my wedding to have the glitz and glamour like the great Gatsby. Ripponlea Estate was that and more. It was the perfect setting for the theme.
THE FAVOURITE MOMENT
That’s the hardest question, can I say everything? It was more than I could ever dream of, but maybe I would say our first dance. We did an upbeat song “We Belong” by Sheppard as we entered the reception. All our friends and family where clapping and getting involved it felt like a true celebration!
THE DRESS
I felt like a million dollars! I’ve never held or had a million dollars but I could bet you anything that wearing my wedding dress felt the same! It was beautiful, timeless and made Chris cry when he first saw me walking down the aisle. It was magical!
FINDING ‘THE ONE’
My dress shopping experience was outstanding! We had stylist Francesca from the Brunswick store. Myself and my mum had looked at a few bridal stores prior to Raffaele Ciuca but none of them had the magic. She was like a fairy God Mother- she welcomed us and then after 4 dresses we found the one- just like that she was AMAZING!
ADVICE
Just enjoy every moment from the planning to walking down the aisle.
