This week we interviewed #rcrealbride Kayla
who married the love of her life Jay in Pronovias for her destination wedding in Santorini, Greece.

THE FIRST SIGHT
We met out at a bar! (A positive to all the girls who go out, it is possible to find your future husband). We met at Crown Pub back in October 2010. I was at a work friends birthday drinks. Jay came later on with a co-worker. I saw him, smiled, grabbed his hand & spun my self around. He laughed and said let’s get a drink. And that was it! We were together all night, and caught up the next week for drinks.
THE PROPOSAL
It started as a surprise trip to Hamilton Island! He passed me the itinerary & tickets Friday night after work, smiled and said you better pack, we are leaving tomorrow morning. (I’ve always wanted to see the beautiful island) jumping up and down with happy tears in my eyes, I then had an idea that this is going to be THE weekend because he cannot keep secrets. I looked at the dates, and it said 2/7/16 – 4/7/16 I looked at him, and I said till Monday night?? …I’ll quickly call my boss now and take off work. He smiled at me and said it’s already organised, I’ve spoken to him. Then the tears continued to flow, with hugs and kisses. (I quickly got a manicure that night. Haha) The whole weekend was amazing, we stayed at the reef view hotel, amazing views! He proposed the first night at dinner. He couldn’t wait. The next day we went on a helicopter over the Great Barrier Reef to white heaven beach, where we had a champagne picnic and the beach to our selves. The whole weekend was perfect.
THE VENUE
We both wanted a destination wedding. We thought Santorini looks so nice in pictures! Haha. We are a little spontaneous, we both are not Greek, and we both have not been there before! crazy, but everyone who had traveled to Santorini all said the same thing- that it has amazing views, that it is beautiful and that it is very romantic. And that ticked all the boxes for us! Sounds like the perfect location!
THE FAVOURITE MOMENT
Hmmm… walking down the aisle and see Jay there waiting for me looking so happy and handsome. And the whole day! It was perfect! Very Hot & windy, but perfect. My two best friends were with me from the morning doing my hair and makeup. My beautiful mum walked me down the aisle, my sister was my maid of honour. Jay and I shared our special day with our closest family and friends. Also a shout out to my amazing photographer and videographer from Melbourne! They were incredible. And also my wedding planner from Santorini, she worked with me and organised everything and made our day run smoothly.
THE DRESS
Wow… I felt like a princess. It was so beautiful. The detachable skirt made me have two different looks that was so effortless.
FINDING THE ONE
I was served by Alicia in Armadale… I had walked in, unsure.. looking at a photo on my phone, looking at the dresses.. looking back at my phone. She looked at my phone and said one second.. she booked me in on the spot, and grabbed a dress, and an attachment skirt and said try this on, it’s ok if you don’t like it.. & I loved it! My sister loved it! I loved what she did, and it was so similar to what I had me heart set on, I had another booking with her a couple of weeks later. She had booked the suite upstairs where I tried on the dress again, and other options just to see. We ended up choosing the perfect dress and I couldn’t of done it without all her help. She even organised extra lace and sheer from the dress designer just incase as I was scared if I might change my mind if I wanted a cap sleeve added now till then. And I did! She was great!

Be positive. It’s going to be the best day!
