My husband and I met in the last year of our undergraduate degree at University. It was pretty much love at first sight for him. As for me, his sense of humour and carefree nature really drew me to him as I got to know him more. RC – How did Marcus propose? My husband never liked surprises, however, for the proposal, he put in a lot of effort to surprise me. He crashed my girls trip right on the last day on a weekend away at Torquay. Suddenly appearing out of the blue, he got down on one knee and popped the question. My friends were in on it and they made sure that I was at the right place at the right time RC – Is there a particular reason as to why you chose your venue? We got married at Tatra Receptions at Mount Dandenong. When we first saw it, we were amazed at how beautiful the gardens were and that pretty much did it for us. Really can’t explain why this venue stood out over a lot others but both of us had this special feeling right after viewing Tatra and we knew that we had the right place. RC – Your favourite part of the wedding? My favourite part of the wedding was the ceremony – seeing my husband for the first time at the altar and saying our vows in front of our beautiful friends and family. Theres something sacred about the moment you pledge your life to someone else and that is why it is one of the highlights of my wedding. RC – How did the dress make you feel? The dress was very complimenting to my figure and I got a lot of compliments, which made me feel extra special on that day! RC – How was your bridal shopping experience? That really helps with the decision making process in terms of choosing a wedding dress, photographer, venue etc. because there are just too many choices out there and it’s easy to be overwhelmed by it all.
