Destination weddings are truly something special. Shae-Lee and Andrew have created a dream day to celebrate their love with their closest friends and family in this idyllic location.

#rcrealbride Shane-Lee wore this stunning Berta dress. Intricate lace combines with a low back design to hug the feminine figure in this fit and flare style gown.

THE FIRST SIGHT

Andrew and I met three years ago through mutual friends. We were instantly drawn to one another and felt connected from day one. We never expected things to move as quickly as they did, but it is just as they say – when you know, you know.

We had our first date on Andrews bedroom balcony, a romantic dinner for two overlooking the beautiful park and city skyline.

THE PROPOSAL

With the help of my best friend and Maid of Honour, Ashlee, Andrew planned the most romantic proposal 12 months after we offically began dating. They had set up our home balcony with candles, rose petals and balloons to create the perfect proposal setting. Ashlee had also set up 3 tripods around the balcony and bedroom to capture every moment and created a beautiful clip of the entire proposal process, including the picking of the engagement ring.

I knew he was the one, but did not see the proposal coming, they were super sneaky which made the surprise that much more special.

THE VENUE

Andrew and I went to Hamilton Island 6 months after meeting for a holiday and fell in love with the place. Hamilton Island is a stunning place with gorgeous beaches and tropical gardens. We knew it would be the perfect place to bring our closest friends and family together for our wedding.

Hamilton Island has the most beautiful little Chapel, All Saints Chapel, so we decided to have the ceremony in the stunning gardens beside it. The reception venue was an easy choice also, the Bommie Deck at the Hamilton Island Yacht Club with its ocean and marina veiws made for the perfect backdrop to our perfect evening of drinking and dancing.

FAVOURITE MOMENT

After all the formalities were over it was great to stand back with Andrew at the reception and take it all in. We were witnessing our very own dream wedding come true and it was such an incredible experience.

THE DRESS

When I first saw my gorgeous Berta dress on the runway of the Melbourne Bridal Expo it was love at first sight. I knew I had to try these stunning gowns on. My first fitting with Francesca confirmed my love of Berta. The dress made me feel like a real life princess. It was the first and only dress I tried on. The detailing in Berta is simply stunning and the lovely seamstresses at RC ensured the dress fit perfectly.

FINDING THE ONE

Francesca was amazing through out my bridal shopping experience as were all the other staff involved. Staff were extremley kind and helpful and made my experience a pleasant one.
