It was love at first tattoo for Jarred! Luckily the tattoo artist that he booked in with was a no show on the day, so Jarred fell into Rachels talented hands. There was mutual instant attraction ! We had so much fun customising Rachels gorgeous gown for her! Check out all the details below.
#rcrealbride Rachel wore the Pronovias Emily Gown – This spectacular mermaid design emphasises feminine lines with a crepe hugging skirt, fitted at the natural waist, that ends in a beautiful train. A dress that plays with embroidered transparencies, flower motifs and sparkling beading that reach the hips.
Rachel with the help of our alterations team customised this stunning gown to change the bodice to a high neck with a diamond opening in the bust. It became a masterpiece!

THE FIRST SIGHT
My husband and I met at my work… I gave him his first tattoo (as I’m a tattoo artist). He was originally booked in with another artist who did not show up on the day of his booking so therefore he got booked in with me & I gave him his first tattoo! There was an instant attraction when we saw each other & after I tattooed him we knew we would be seeing each other again because he then booked in another tattoo appointment with me. He got in contact with me before his next booking, about a week after I tattooed him & asked me out on a date & the rest is history!
Jarrad & I went for a day trip as we normally do when the weather is nice, We went to see a waterfall, went to a botanical garden & then we ended up in Daylesford which is where he proposed to me on a paddle boat in a big lake, it was a real beautiful sunny day! He hid it well & I didn’t see it coming until the last few minutes when he wanted to paddle in the opposite direction of where we were meant to be going & then asked for a selfie… I thought something was up haha. It was amazing moment one I’ll never forget & quite romantic of him. We had been dating for 5 Years when he proposed.
We chose to get married at in Lakeside Banquet & Convention Centre Taylors Lakes, we chose this venue because of their great reputation along with the black & white decor & quality of food! It was the 3rd reception centre we had looked at in the one day & when we were inside being shown around, we pretty much knew we would choose that venue to be our wedding reception.
My favourite part of the wedding would have to be walking down the aisle to Jarrad & meeting up with him at the end, it was an amazing feeling between us both with a lot of emotions. Along with this my other favourite memories were our first dance, & the whole reception centre sharing our special day with all our family & friends which was lovely & just having a fun time!
My dress was the 10th dress I tried on. I loved the dress, the way it fitted and the train, but wanted to change it from the bust up because I had this vision in my head of how I wanted it & couldn’t find a dress like it. My dress was the Emily dress by Pronovias & thanks to the help of Rita & Tam, they understood my vision on how I wanted the dress and altered/customised it to exactly how I wanted. I wanted the dress to come up to my neckline and have a diamond opening in my bust, that was my favourite feature in the dress along with all the beautiful lace work. I couldn’t have been anymore happier with how my dress came out exactly as I imagined & I thank Tam & Rita so much for their help!
FINDING THE ONE
My bridal shop experience was great, the kindness & help from Rita & of course Tam who did all the sewing of my dress to get it the way I wanted it. I couldn’t have been anymore happier with how my dress came out exactly as I imagined & I thank Tam & Rita so much! It was really amazing to see my vision come to life.
TIPS FOR ALL THE BRIDES TO BE
Just have fun planning it, don’t stress (too much!) One thing I learnt when planning my wedding is that it all falls into place, and on the day just remember to enjoy it & soak it all in because it is just a beautiful day & it goes so quick!
Everyone’s relationship is different but the one thing that keeps my relationship strong is to have love for each other, be honest with each other & have respect for each other. They are the most important things to Jarred and I in our relationship. Communication with each other is important, just have fun & laugh with one another!
