“I had the most fabulous experience at the RC boutique in Armadale, it was the first place I visited. I returned on a Berta Trunk Show with my girlfriends and we had a great day in the VIP room sipping champagne and Francesca was great, she really listened to the brief and made it so easy to confirm that this was my dream dress.” #RCREALBRIDE PAIGE RC – How did you meet Brett? Brett and I met at our local hair salon. I was waiting for my appointment when I spotted him paying and about to walk out, we only made eye contact for only a few moments but it was long enough for me to need to ask my hairdresser who that handsome man was! lucky for me Brett was my hairdressers brother in law and he also was asking about me while having his haircut!!! After exchanging numbers through the salon owner our first date was the very next week. RC – How did Brett propose? In typical Brett fashion our proposal was relaxed and very low fuss, Brett’s favourite! Sunday morning in bed I was woken to the most beautiful ring in my face with the question “Will you marry me?” We celebrated with Champagne and a beautiful lunch at Coombe, Yering and then later celebrations found us at my fathers house with close family and a bottle of old Red wine! A day we will both cherish forever. It was a total surprise to me which made it even more special! RC – Is there a particular reason as to why you chose your venue? Brett and I where married in Hamilton island, a destination wedding for us as we are from the Yarra Valley in Melbourne. We chose Hamilton island for a few reasons, its obviously beautiful, we holidayed there each year together since we met and we wanted the intimacy of a destination wedding finally years down the track we wanted to share the place we got married with a family of our own. It was fantastic as our closest family and friends came up to our favourite place for a week of celebrations. We were married above Catseye beach on the lawn and danced the night away the Outrigger Marquee! RC – Your favourite part of the wedding? Walking down the aisle with my dad to see Brett’s face! Without a doubt. RC – How did the dress make you feel? I’d always dreamed about being a Berta Bride. My dress was the first dress I fell in love with, it was perfect for the day and location. It made me feel beautiful, comfortable and unique. All the things I was looking for in a dress. RC – How was your bridal shopping experience at RC? I had the most fabulous experience at the RC boutique in Armadale, it was the first place I visited. I returned on a Berta Trunk Show with my girlfriends and we had a great day in the VIP room sipping champagne and Francesca was great, she really listened to the brief and made it so easy to confirm that this was my dream dress. RC – Advise for brides to be? The cliche tips are my most favourite! I was lucky enough to not stress during the planning and lead up to my wedding. I wanted to enjoy the experience. It’s your day to be celebrated with the people you love do not let the little things get in the way of the real meaning of the day. Make it yours; it certainly flies by. In the lead up I think it’s really important to eat healthy and train or take some fitness classes. Its great for your body, your skin and your mind. It really helped me. What I told myself through the journey most was that I had to stay true to me. “I’m not a cookie cutter bride and I don’t have to be!” For he day itself it’s so important to choose your celebrant wisely, they totally set the vibe for the ceremony. We had our wedding planed through Hamilton Island Weddings, our wedding planner made it easy for a destination wedding. We booked all our vendors on the island in a visit the year before.
