When city life meets country and joins to become one. #RCREALBRIDE Nissrine lived in Melbourne and Cameron lived in Victorias stunning regional country side. Online dating brought these two worlds together and from the first date it seemed they were destined to be together forever more. Nissrine looked every bit of stunning in her Maggie Sottero gown in ‘Tami’. The couple said ‘I do’ with a backdrop of the stunning Victorian costal line at All Smiles, Sorrento. Photography: Marissa Jade Photography THE FIRST SIGHT Prior to meeting, Cam and I were living in different worlds. Him in a country regional town and I in the heart of Melbourne city. After being single for quite some time, we both took the courage to join an online dating site and that’s how we met each other. It was only 2 days after joining the site that Cam messaged me and we started talking. We both agreed to meet in person and a week later, I walked into a restaurant half way between Melbourne and ‘WoopWoop’. As soon as i saw Cam I felt a smile on my face that quite literally hasn’t left me since. I knew after a few hours of spending time with Cam, that he was the one. THE PROPOSAL It didn’t take long before Cam and I moved in together on his beautiful country property. Six months into the relationship, after my family came over for the day, I was in the kitchen talking away and out came the question. I knew something was occupying Cam’s mind for a while, and at that moment, it all came together. We wanted nothing more than to spend the rest of our lives together. THE VENUE Having limited time to organise an intimate wedding due to pre-booked holiday travel plans, Cam and I took advantage of online research and began looking for venues in a place that was in contrast to the country side we were living in. It wasn’t long before we came across All Smiles at Sorrento Beach and after meeting with the amazing manager, Katrina Sillars, we booked our gorgeous wedding venue, for the 7th of April 2018. With 180 degree views of the ocean and a stunning relaxed open atmosphere, we knew we couldn’t go wrong. It was the perfect venue for the perfect day. FAVOURITE MOMENT Everything about the wedding overwhelmed me with joy. Being an intimate wedding with only immediate family made it that extra special. Having my nephew walk beside me at the entrance was very special. Having such perfect weather condition on the day was a blessing. Having such an amazing celebrant and an incredible support from the staff at All Smiles was just heart-warming. But my favourite part was walking towards Cam at the beginning of the ceremony. What that moment felt like for me is something I will treasure for the rest of my life. THE DRESS The moment I put the dress on, I was moved to tears. I hadn’t been in the store for less than 1/2hr before I found my dress. It was the third one I tried on and it was the perfect one. Everything about it was stunning! The ‘illusion’ back and the ‘illusion’ sweetheart neckline was just gorgeous. The floral lace appliques, the stunning satin train, the beautiful Ivory/Champagne colour of the dress were just all a perfect match for what I was looking for. I felt very elegant in the dress and it brought out a lot of my personality. FINDING THE ONE My bridal shopping experience at RC was very positive and heart-warming. The staff there were very friendly and attentive and Teresa who assisted me with my dress was just gorgeous. She was genuine and patient and gave me the space I needed to choose the right dress for me. Luana who helped me with my fittings was an absolute gem! She was gentle and reassuring, and gave me a lot of positive feedback leading up to my final fitting. I’m very thankful for their support as it made the whole process that much easier and the wedding day that extra special. ADVICE FOR OTHER BRIDES The only thing I can say about planning a wedding is to trust yourself and to not put so much pressure on how you think things should be. If it feels right for you and your partner and it makes your heart sing, then go for it. A tip on how to keep a happy relationship is to become your own best friend first. When you see the best in you, you will see the best in your partner too.
