THE FIRST SIGHT
Ritchie and I met in the beautiful Whitsundays working on Hamilton Island.
THE PROPOSAL
We had just purchased our new home and Ritchie was showing me around the garden that evening to admire the outside of our home, the moonlight and to discuss our future garden! He then got down on one knee and I had shouted YES before he even got to ask the question. My parents were there visiting from Melbourne and we both ran inside crying with tears of joy to tell them the news.
THE VENUE
The Coral Sea resort is right on the waters edge looking out to the beautiful ocean, there is lush green grass where you can have the ceremony. It is close to town and the food, accommodation and service is great. As we are local to the area we thought it would be the perfect getaway for all of our friends and family coming from interstate.
THE FAVOURITE MOMENT
Wow all of it! I really just want to relive the day over and over. I loved the ceremony it was absolutely magic and it was also a full moon so we got to watch the moon rise over the water. Ritchie and I had dance lessons leading up to the wedding. Our first dance was definitely a highlight it was so exciting to dance our Batchata Dance in front of our friends and family and it was very entertaining.
THE DRESS
I felt like an absolute mermaid princess in the dress! I loved my dress it really suited my personality, the setting and was the amazing to wear all day it was comfortable and easy to move/dance in.
FINDING THE ONE
My shopping experience was so beautiful and exciting. It truly was a wonderful experience. I went with my Mum and the team knew the style of dress I was after and had everything all prepared ready for me to try on. As I travelled from QLD to Melbourne to find my dress it really was worth while. Francesca looked after me, she was attentive, caring and lots of fun. The whole experience was seamless from start to finish. During my fitting/alterations I was looked after as the ladies understood I had a time frame to travel back to QLD and ensured that my dress was ready in time.

ADVICE FOR OTHER BRIDES
1. Have everything organised 2 weeks in advance so when your friends and family arrive you can spend some quality time with them.
Spend a moment the evening before the wedding visualising how you wish to see the day unfold and set your intention for your wedding day. As this helped calmed my nerves and re-enforced that the day was going to be truly amazing.
2. Don’t stress about minor details they don’t matter, let someone else take care of that.
3. Choose music that really sets the scene, I found our playlist just encouraged everyone to have so much fun.
4. Really be present ”In the Moment” so you don’t miss any part of you and your partners special day!
