Esmanur & Mustafa - Pronovias Prunelle Wedding Dress

This love story took a while to finally bloom. Esmanur + Mustafa met at high school and what seemed like nothing would eventuate developed into something more with help from Facebook, patience and maybe even a little bit of fate.

#RCREALBRIDE Esmanur wore the Prunelle by Pronovias. A marvellous georgette wedding dress with a low waist and a sweetheart neckline. A gorgeous mermaid style dress with enchanting floral lace and gemstone embroidery details.

THE FIRST SIGHT

My partner and I officially met in High School in 2008. He was a year level above myself and was the new student to the school in semester 2. We became Facebook friends and only spoke minimal in school; however, we were always active and speaking via Facebook. Not long after he moved schools by the end of the year, we still stayed in contact via Facebook and exchanged our phone numbers.

We parted our ways once he changed schools and he had deactivated Facebook. He came back on Facebook with the same account in 2011 and had changed his Facebook name. At the time, I only had people as friends on my Facebook that I know and due to his name change I found it strange when I saw an odd name on my friends list, to then realize it was him again. Two days after Mustafa reactivated Facebook he reproached me early in the morning whilst I was on my train ride to work and we began fresh from there. We shared our feelings and started speaking daily, it lead to phone calls every night, falling asleep whilst on the phone to one another.

I knew I would one day come across him again in the near future once he had changed schools, however I never imagine we would get married. We both had hidden feelings and a little spark for each other but never got to explore it enough to admit it at the start. The day he approached me on Facebook in 2011, led to us meeting for our first date later that night. I had to travel to Kmart to look for a Christmas Hat for work the following day. So he offered if he could pick me up from work and travel with me to Kmart. And this was the beginning to our little fairytale.

THE PROPOSAL

My partner officially had asked me to be his Girlfriend on January 28, 2014. Within 2 months of our relationship he was keen on getting married and wanted to get married, however I just never thought I was ready for a marriage, due to it being so soon in our relationship.

Fast forward 2 years, one night he had told me to get ready as he was taking me to a nice dinner. I had to meet up with him at a local park, due to my parents not knowing I had a boyfriend in my life. I got dressed and met him at the park, jumped into his car in the passenger seat and kissed him hello. I realised he was dressed more formal then I had ever seen. I asked him where we were going and he said just enjoy the ride and you will see once we arrive. I had then always been the passenger “DJ” trying to find the music we both enjoyed.

Mustafa was always known as a CD person and rarely listened to the radio. I had questioned him about what was with the radio on today its normally a CD of your tracks, he then told me he wanted a change. I didn’t say anything but found it a little unusual of him. 15 minutes into the ride he asked me “Babe there is nothing on the radio do you mind grabbing a CD?” I went straight into the glove box and there where not CD’s he said “They are on the inner side of the Sun Visor”. I pulled down the Sun Visor to have all these rose peddles fall on my lap and a diamond ring. I looked over and he asked me if I would marry him – I of course said “yes”.

THE VENUE

We had booked our wedding view 14 months in advance from our wedding date. Sheldon Reception and Convention Centre in Sunshine VIC was our venue. Everything about Sheldon was just amazing, the renovations. Everything just ticked all the boxes for what I was looking for in a venue. Although my heart was set on Sheldon, my parents and I still did venue shopping to see if we could get a similar venue at a better price. But when you’re looking at venues you just know when you’ve found the right place to celebrate with your nearest and dearest.

FAVOURITE MOMENT

I cannot say I have a particular part that was my favourite about my wedding, I absolutely loved every moment of my wedding and could not be happier that everything was happening after all the preparations, stress and organising had been done. After all the stress my partner and I just couldn’t wait be on our honeymoon and begin our lives together from that day on as husband and wife…

THE DRESS

My dress was just AMAZING! My dress was so comfortable, light weight and just everything I always wanted. My favourite feature of the dress was the unique design it had to it. The front, below my knees did not have any lace, whereas the rest of the dress did. The back detail had to be what made me fall in love, and just the way the dress flowed on me. My dress was the first dress I had tried on whilst I was dress shopping, and after trying on 12 different styles, my heart always was set on the very first dress I had put on which was the Pronovias Prunelle dress.

FINDING THE ONE

I was the bride that needed a fair few appointments to decide on the dress I wanted! I had originally had my first appointment at the Brunswick store and had gone the second time with just 2 of my girlfriends to get ideas. After finding my dress I decided to then take in my Mum and Aunty with me to show them and get their opinion on what they thought of the Pronovias gown, I had also brought my Maid of Honour with me for a second opinion.

When I had taken in my Mother and Aunty, my Mum really wanted me to try on Princess style, A line and a off the shoulder style dress but I was set on the Prunelle gown. I walked out of the store after my appointment and made my way to the Armadale store as the Brunswick store and Armadale store had different stock. Once I arrived to the Armadale store I was greeted and felt as though I was VIP. The staff member “Pamela” was so nice, she was helping me try on any dress I wanted. I left the store leaving a deposit and discussed my situation about the gown I liked in the Brunswick store which they didn’t have in Armadale.

A couple days later I returned back to the Armadale store and asked Pamela if I could order the Pronovias Prunelle gown but through her which is what I did. I was so happy about the experience the store had given me. Forever grateful to have that customer service from Pamela, she made me feel like I was making the best choice on the gown because she knew how much I loved it. She made the process so easy, and was worth the travel each time.

ADVICE FOR OTHER BRIDES

The best tip I can provide is to enjoy every moment of planning your wedding no matter how stressful it can be at times. Enjoy everything on the day and make the most of it – take a moment to take it all in. Sometimes we cant have everything the exact way we imagined. Things wont go to plan and some little things can go wrong, but enjoy every moment on your wedding day because it’s a once in a life time event and is a very special day that you will always look back to throughout your marriage.
