This week we interviewed #rcrealbride Emily who married the love of her life David in our Ornani wedding gown by Pronovias.

4th March 2017

THE FIRST SIGHT

We met back when I was 16 and David was 19 at a house party we hung out for a bit then mutually parted ways. It wasn’t until 2010 we crossed paths again at a bar one night and we hit it off again just like the good old days and we have been by each others sides ever since.

THE PROPOSAL

I took David away up to Beechworth and Bright for his 30th birthday he suggested we go up to Tawonga gap lookout as he hadn’t been there for a while. Little did I know he had a sneaky surprise up his sleeve. As I was looking at the gorgeous view we spun me around and got down on one knee!

THE VENUE

We got married at Chateau Dore in Bendigo, we wanted a mini getaway wedding and it was everything we wanted and more! The Ceremony and Reception was all in the one spot and the scenery is just beautiful with beautiful gardens and a gorgeous farm house for the reception.

THE FAVOURITE MOMENT

The whole day was the best day of our lives but the one thing David and I both loved was that the dance floor was full the whole night, we loved seeing our families and friends celebrating with us and having just as much fun as we were! Ryan from Knot music knew exactly what to play. We all danced the night away.

THE DRESS

I wore a Pronovias dress – Ornani. I felt so beautiful in it and I got so many amazing compliments. From the first time I tried it on at the Armadale store i couldn’t get it out of me head! I had to have it! I was so excited to wear it on my wedding day.

FINDING THE ONE

It was flawless! From the minute I walked into the Armadale store I had Jo greet me with the sweetest smile and she knew exactly what style would suit me. All I said to her was that I didn’t want strapless.

As this was the first time and store I had stepped foot into to try on dresses I went away to “think” but every dress I tried on afterwards just didn’t compare. A few weeks later I wanted to try on the Ornani dress again but as the Brunswick store was closer I went there, they didn’t have the Ornani dress at Brunswick but head office was fantastic and made sure they had it transferred in time of my appointment. I was met with Pina who was fantastic also. Once I tried the dress on again I just had to get it.

ADVISE FOR OTHER BRIDES

1. I know the planning gets stressful but try and enjoy the lead up to your wedding because it comes and goes by so quickly you’ll be wishing you can do it all over again.

2. Also take 5 minutes out of the night with your groom and take it all in, everyone there is there for you it’s a very special moment and you will most likely never have everyone there on the night in the same room again.
