RC – How did you meet Steven?
Steven and I met at a mutual friends 16th Birthday Party. We have been together 9 years therefore are high school sweethearts. We have always been best friends and knew from the day we set eyes on each other that we were meant to be together. It feels as though we have been an ‘old married couple’ for a long time already!
RC – How did Steven propose?
Steven proposed to me during a photo shoot. Steven knew how much I loved photos and thought what better way to capture this wonderful moment than during a photo session with Lisa Nardella Photography. Steven told me he had won the voucher for a photo session, and towards the end of the shoot surprised me by getting down on one knee.
RC – Is there a particular reason as to why you chose your venue?
We have both grown up together in the country town of Shepparton. We wanted a venue that would represent our chosen theme of simple and elegant. The Olivehouse was perfect and fulfilled all our expectations and more! This is also where we had our beautiful photographs taken, with stunning colours of the olivetrees and beautiful surrounds, we have many memories to cherish.
RC – Your favourite part of the wedding?
Every moment was perfect and exactly what we hoped for! We have many special memories to cherish.
Steven – The most memorable part of our wedding day was seeing Aimee for the first time in her beautiful bridal gown. She looked absolutely stunning and I will never forget that moment.
Aimee – My most memorable part of our wedding day was getting our photos done. Being able to relax with our best friends and amazing family made the day very memorable and special. I loved the moments during the photo time where Steven and I were able to share intimate time together. I also loved the feeling of excitement, being with all the special people in our lives on this one day, it felt wonderful having all of our families coming together as one to celebrate our marriage. These memories I will always treasure for the rest of our lives.
RC – How did the dress make you feel?
The bridal gown made me feel simply beautiful and elegant. I fell in love with the gown from the moment I tried it on. The saying “You just know when it is the one” was certainly proven during my bridal shopping experience. My Mum cried as soon as she saw me and it was a very emotional experience. The fitting of the gown was absolutely perfect. Lauana at Raffaele Ciuca Alterations was absolutely brilliant. Her professionalism, expertise and kindness was very much appreciated. Having the dress fit perfectly was so important in making me feel beautiful on our wedding day.
RC – How was your bridal shopping experience?
My bridal shopping experience was amazing and I would do it all again tomorrow! I had the most important women in my life with me; my Mum, Aunty and future mother in law. Enjoy every minute of not only the wedding day but also the planning process, at times it may feel stressful but your big day will soon be here and gone.
