THE FIRST SIGHT
We actually met at my first ever job when I was 14 years old, the local pizza bar in Wandin, was the place to be for all the locals at that time.
THE PROPOSAL
Was Christmas morning 2017. 25/12/2017. On the topic of rings, Michaels ring was actually melted down from his fathers engagement/wedding band, both Michael and his twin John got one each made from the rings with a row of diamonds each from their fathers engagement ring, so it is pretty sentimental.
THE VENUE
We have 3 kids, Joseph 4, Rylee (girl) 2 and Jax 6 months.
Having a family this young, and a strong very close relationship with our in-laws and immediate family is important to us, so we decided to have a micro wedding, 30 people including our kids. It was the best day, stress free, relaxed because you didn’t need to spend all night talking to every guest. The Riverstone Estate is a small exclusive winery in the Yarra Valley, you can’t even see it from the road or on the street we’re it’s located it’s that private. The space didn’t make our guests feel like the venue was to big and also didn’t make them feel crowded either, also the stress of cars wasn’t a worry as there is no traffic because the venue was exclusive to us for that period of time!
FAVORITE MOMENT
All brides favourite part is getting all dolled up and fussed over so yes that was one of my favourite parts, but my truely favourite part is seeing my kids walk down the aisle to daddy and when I walked down seeing them all standing waiting for me. Was truely an unreal experience.
THE DRESS
I wore a long sleeved, fit and flare style dress. After having kids my body is not the way it used to be, so hiding the areas I felt most conscience about was important, however I wanted the fabric to look sort of like an art piece, and it was! All my photos were stunning, my sleeve patterns really stood out. I felt extremely confident, no worry at all.
FINDING THE ONE
I dealt with one lady in particular, Francesca I think her name was. She was very professional, knew exactly what she was talking about, knew her stuff! Really lovely and helpful.
TIPS FOR ALL THE BRIDES TO BE
Be open minded when trying your dress. You’ll walk in with a dream dress and you’ll walk out with something else!
