This week we interviewed #rcrealbride Sam who married the love of her life Matthew in a stunning Raffaele Ciuca gown for their intimate woodland wedding. RC – How did you meet Matthew? Matthew and I met through mutual friends when we were 16, fast forward 8 years and 1 son later… RC – How did Matthew propose? He asked me to go for a walk at night, we always used to go for walks together at night, looking at the moon and the stars, pointing out our favourite homes in the area and taking photos near cherry blossom trees. It had been a while since one of our moon walks, walking down the middle of the road hand in hand looking at the sky we stopped next to my favourite blossom trees. He got down on one knee and very nervously, and also quite awkwardly proposed. I was giggling the whole time. Our proposal sums up our relationship perfectly, simple, sweet, full of laughter. RC – Is there a particular reason as to why you chose your venue? Our ceremony was held at the Californian Redwood forest in Warburton. We always knew that we wanted to get married out in nature, and when we walked into this forest a year before our wedding date we both knew it was the perfect location. RC – Your favourite part of the wedding? My favourite part of the wedding was the hug at the end of the ceremony, there was so much love and emotion in that hug. RC – How did the dress make you feel? I have honestly never felt as beautiful as I did in my dress, it was the first wedding dress I had tried on and it fit perfectly. it was definitely meant to be. RC – How was your bridal shopping experience at RC? I am so glad that I chose RC, all the ladies there are amazing and so helpful, particularly Lucy, who helped me find my dress. She was so kind and made me feel comfortable, she was so helpful! RC – Advise for brides to be? Make your wedding your own, make sure it reflects you and your partner. We had an extremely simple, intimate wedding and did it our way.
