Meeting at a friends party – one could say it was love at first sight? Whether you believe it or not there was definitely an attraction there. After many years of dating Goran organised an amazing proposal in New York. The pictures of this rustic meets a splash of colour wedding had us giving love-hear-emoji eyes all day long. #RCREALBRIDE Emina wore the striking Caryn gown by Helen Constance. A dress is magical when it creates a magnificent silhouette when worn on the body. This mermaid design in tulle and floral appliqués in thread embroidery, accentuates femininity and curves, fitting to the hips and emphasising the bust with a sensual and romantic strapless neckline. Photographer: Michael Briggs THE FIRST SIGHT We first met at a friends birthday party and there was an instant connection. This was followed by many dates that Goran took me on. I knew when I first laid eyes on Goran that he was the one for me. We have been inseperable ever since! THE PROPOSAL We were in New York City, I was shopping and Goran told me that we had dinner reservations. I insisted on him letting me shop some more, but he had other plans. After reaching the jetty only then did I realise we were actually going on a private yacht. Which then took us to the Statue of Liberty where Goran then went on one knee and proposed to me. I said “yes” of course. We were together for 6 years before he proposed. It was a total shock to me but the best night of my life. Decemeber 16 will forever be a special day to me because of the effort he put in to making his proprosal so special. THE VENUE We chose Zonzo because we wanted a ‘rustic’ type wedding, and we instatly fell in love with Zonzo as it gave us that rustic feeling. The food is also amazing, and that’s one thing that was very important to us. We only visited a few placed before Zonzo, and as soon as we walked into Zonzo we knew it was just right for us. FAVOURITE MOMENT The first look in the Warboton forest, it was a very special moment as Goran saw me for the first time before the ceremony. This moment was shared with us two alone which made it extremely intimate. The photographers and videographers captured the whole thing and all of the emotions. Our first dance that we had practiced over and over again and we absolutely nailed it, that was very special to me because we both put so much effort into making the dance perfect and it was! THE DRESS When I walked into the store I knew what I had in mind. It wasn’t until the lady serving me advised me that there was a Helen Constance Trunk show on that weekend, and that there was a dress that she thought I would like. I tried it on and I immediately knew this was the dress for me. Mind you it was nothing that I had in mind. I fell in love with the lacey sides, as it was just beautiful but sexy at the same time. Thank you to the staff for all your hard work. FINDING THE ONE Everyone who was there that day was really lovely to deal with, much love to the girls at the Brunswick store. ADVICE FOR OTHER BRIDES Just be organised!! Focus on one thing per month leading up to the wedding. The best tip on how to keep a happy relationship is make sure you find a man as good as the one I have, because you will be happy everyday! He is amazing. Compromsie and show love for one another every day.
