From the classic meeting at the bar and a first kiss at their favorite musician’s concert to getting married in the Vogue Ballroom, Alleesha and Kurt sound a lot like our favorite romance movie! #RCRealBride Alleesha wore the Wedding Societe 259 ZP . V neckline gown with a deep V back featuring delicate lace and soft beading. Gentle A-line skirt falling to a soft train. Photographer – Bright Light Weddings THE FIRST SIGHT Kurt and I first crossed paths in a bar, we had a mutual friend that introduced us and then 4 weeks later at a music concert seeing one of our favourite artists we shared our first kiss, the spark was indescribable and we’ve been inseparable ever since. THE PROPOSAL Kurt proposed 2 and a half years later at a family gathering, we had both his family and mine come together just before Christmas as we were spending Christmas overseas that year. I was in total shock and there were many happy tears around the table it was beautiful specially to share that moment with the whole family. THE VENUE Choosing the venue was where it all begun in terms of planning for Kurt and I, we looked at about 4 venues before walking into Vogue Ballroom and we felt an instant connection it was almost like finding the dress when you know you know. The owners Angela and George were amazing and felt like family instantly their assistant Anna was amazing and so helpful. We originally were looking at rustic themed venues and we really loved them but when we walked into Vogue with the modern atmosphere there was no doubt that we had found the perfect venue that represented the both of us. One thing that stuck with us as well was on our first meet with the team at vogue the most important thing was our guests wouldn’t leave hungry and be doing McDonald’s runs on the way home. The food was incredible Kurt and I are big food lovers so we LOVED that above anything else. FAVORITE MOMENT My favourite part of the day would have been seeing Kurt for the first time, I was so nervous not even my bridesmaids could calm me but as soon as I seen him I instantly calmed We then went into the limo together just him and I and we got to spend about 45 minutes driving to the next photography location talking and soaking in all the emotions and feelings together I always said I wouldn’t be a happy crier on my wedding day, I was so wrong ha-ha! Kurt’s favourite part was the first dance, he was so nervous about messing it up and standing on my dress but says instantly all the worries and nerves vanish and even though we had 130 people watching us it felt like it was just him and I in that very moment. It was perfect. THE DRESS My dress, I went into the Raffaele Ciuca Brunswick store for my very first dress hunting location about 8 months before the wedding day. I picked out 7 Or 8 dresses to try on and the first 4 were more fitted dresses I had my eye on the dress I chose and asked the assistant to try it on maybe 2 dresses in but the assistant said it’s a process we’ll get to that we need to rule out these ones first. I trusted her, she was so lovely. FINDING THE ONE So finally, after trying on 4 I put mine on and walked out and I could not get the smile off my face it was such a special moment I didn’t try on anymore after that I knew that I had found the one and I was so certain on it I didn’t need to look any further. I paid the deposit and didn’t think twice about my decision. The ladies at Raffaele were so helpful and lovely it was truly the most perfect experience. ADVICE FOR OTHER BRIDES. Don’t stress the small stuff on the day trust in your planning and your suppliers because they will go above and beyond for you when the day comes. Everything falls into place exactly how you in vision it to be it just might be hard to picture it all coming together but it definitely does and it is the most magical day of your entire life Take a minute to sit back with your partner and look around to soak it all in. Also, have fun together, don’t take life to seriously laugh as much as you can with one another and always try and find the positive in any obsticle life decides to throw at you.
