Can you believe people can actually find their soul mate in nightclubs? Neither did we but the beautiful Amy + Kayne are living proof that love can be found on the dance floor. Years of beautiful moments and mutual desire to build a future with one another has lead to this loving couples union in the leafy green Eltham. #RCREALBRIDE Amy wore the ‘Malta’ gown by St. Patrick. The perfect elegant mermaid wedding dress in chiffon and with a romantic style. With a sweetheart neckline topped by an bateau illusion neckline with guipure appliqués on crystal tulle. Photography: Pixray Photography THE FIRST SIGHT We met randomly one night at CQ nightclub. Kayne saw me walking past and came over to introduce himself. We had an instant connection and it just felt right. A few days after Kayne took me on our first date to get gelato. From this point on we were inseparable and I knew I would marry him after only two weeks of first meeting. THE PROPOSAL The proposal happened in Hawaii while we were watching the sun set on Waikiki beach. At this point we had been dating for 3 years. Leading up to the engagement Kayne kept telling me that we couldn’t get engaged for a while as we were trying to save for our house. He had purposely been doing this, so I didn’t expect it- and gee he did a good job! When Kayne finally popped the question I was in shock and speechless for the first few minutes. Kayne always loves to joke around and I wasn’t sure whether he was was being serious. He then continued to pull a ring out of his pocket and asked ‘so?’ And I said “of course it’s a YES!” THE VENUE We got married at Ballara on a beautiful day in Autumn. We chose this venue as we loved the beautiful gardens that surrounds the property and knew this would be perfect for our outdoor ceremony. We also love the leafy area of Eltham and felt this was the perfect place to get married. Ballara was the 4th venue we looked at and we both knew we had found the one, booking only a few days later. FAVOURITE MOMENT Our favourite part of the day was being able to celebrate our marriage with our closest friends and family. After having a few hectic days prior to the wedding with me having my appendix removed only 4 days before the wedding, we were grateful that the wedding day went perfectly. Our wedding was the best day of our lives and a memory we will cherish forever. THE DRESS I tried on about 5 dresses before I found the dress. I instantly knew that the style was very much me and my mum and bridesmaids also felt the same. My favourite part was the lace on the back of the dress and the shape. I felt incredible wearing the dress and wouldn’t have changed a thing. FINDING THE ONE My experience at RC Brunswick was wonderful. Francesca made me feel incredibly important and took the time to ensure I was happy with my choice. In my initial appointment I explained what I was after and Francesca grabbed a few dresses with a particular one in mind, which ended up being my dress! ADVICE FOR OTHER BRIDES The best advice for soon to be brides- enjoy the planning and lead up to the big day. Don’t worry about things that may go wrong, as you’ll have a fantastic day regardless. The day is over before you know it so make sure you enjoy it and most of all have fun.
